Biology boards differ more than most: the required practicals are not the same, the extended-answer formats differ, and OCR runs two separate specifications. Sessions are taught against the one you are entered for.

Diagnostic
A free 60-minute lesson. Bring a paper you have attempted and we go through the extended answers first, since that is usually where the missing marks are.

A plan with a target
Content gaps mapped against your board, with the topics that carry the most extended-answer marks sequenced first.

Weekly sessions
Teaching, then timed extended answers marked against the real scheme, so the feedback names the mark rather than the score.

Into the exams
Past paper drilling and the required practical question formats, which are predictable enough to be worth rehearsing.

- Stuck on a B despite knowing the content. Almost always a technique problem in the extended answers rather than a knowledge one.
- Year 12 building foundations. Molecules, cells and enzymes underpin everything in Year 13, and gaps there surface late.
- Applying for Medicine or Dentistry. Where an A* in Biology is effectively required rather than preferred.
- Losing marks on required practicals. A part of the specification many students revise last and are examined on heavily.
- Mock preparation. A defined block of work before a specific paper.
- Finding the volume overwhelming. Biology is the largest content load of the three sciences, and it needs a plan rather than more hours.
