Oxford and Cambridge
An Oxbridge subject interview is forty minutes of being pushed on your own subject, followed by twenty minutes of feedback. It is run by Oxbridge students and graduates who sat the same interview for the same subject, and you get written notes afterwards so a second mock has something to aim at.
Medicine and Dentistry
An MMI is a different animal: more than eight short stations, timed and rotated the way medical and dental schools run them. One complete circuit per booking, with feedback station by station, because an overall impression tells you nothing about which station lost you the place.
The feedback is the half that changes anything. A mock without it is an unpleasant hour that leaves you no better prepared than you started.
Twenty minutes immediately afterwards, while you can still remember what you said and why. Feedback a week later is a report on somebody you no longer are.
