AS is its own qualification.
Since the 2015 reforms in England, AS is graded separately from the A-level and no longer counts towards it. It has its own specification codes, which is why these papers are kept apart from the A-level ones rather than mixed in with them.
The content is the first year of the A-level, so these papers are worth working through even if you are sitting the full A-level next summer.
